Fat Free Friday!!!!

Mood: Happy! Happy!

Why? Because when I weighed in at Weight Watchers last night, I had lost 6.4 pounds! In one week! I've never done that before, and I was shocked, but oh, so excited!

Weight Watcher Challenge: To incorporate exercise in my day.

Mood: Not so happy. Seriously? I'm just getting used to my stomach growling. I'm just figuring out how to calculate those points. I don't want to increase my sweat gland production on top of all that!

Writing-Related:
So I having been thinking alot about what to write next. I've had some ideas brewing, but am not sure what to do. Have you ever had ideas but thought it might be too close to home? Too real? Too honest? Well, I have. I have a great premise for a series, but will have to really change it up some to make it acceptable. All very cryptic, I know. :)

So this weekend, I hope to get these ideas fleshed out some and down on paper. Maybe seeing it laid out will help me decide what direction to go.

I'm really praying about this, because before I wrote my first MS, I did not seek the Lord, other than ask for His help in making my dream to write a book come true. This time, I want His leading in what to write. I want to be in His will this time and not just write to fulfill my desires. I don't know, but maybe I will grow more as a writer if I am writing for the greatest Author of all.

Here's to a great day, even though it is quiet in cyberland.

  1. Well done Sherrinda! that is exciting. 6.4 pounds! I had to translate into kilos, but I worked it out. It is almost three kilos I think. That is unreal. Good for you!

And I can't wait to hear what you come up with for your next book. I know what you mean about writing for the greatest author of all time :)

  3. Hi Sherrinda,

I'm up early for Denver time and checking blogs and emails. I'm so proud of you for losing that much weight! That's awesome!

And I'm so glad to hear about your plans to keep writing. I was worried that you might give up too soon. I love that you're following God's leading for this next book series.

We're having a blast together in Denver. Wish you were here!

  4. How exciting! I wish I could lose 6.4 lbs in a week!

I'm sure God will show you what you need to write. I've been praying to him alot about my WIP and after talking to my husband last night I think I know what he's trying to tell me. Now I just have to decide if I am up to the challenge.

  6. Hi, Sherrinda!

WOOOHOOO!!! Congrats on the weight loss!!

Yes, I definitely have a topic that I will not write about unless God specifically tells me over and over that I have to. Somethings are just too "there" to put on paper for strangers to read.

I hope you have a great weekend writing and that an awesome story comes to your mind!

  7. Congratulations, dear! I'm so proud of you, and so is God.

I love the word "cryptic." That's one fun thing about hanging out with other writers, you can say "Ooooh, that's a great word!" and no one looks at you funny.

God will direct your steps and your brain.

    Love, Jen

Marybeth, good for you in talking about it with your husband! Now...take up that challenge and go for it!

Thanks, Cindy! I appreciate the encouragement!

Kristen, thank you! I'm very pleased with the weight loss! Now if only I could be as successful with my story ideas. :)

  10. 6.4 lbs! That's great! I am trying to lose weight as well. It is really hard, but with God all things are possible. Walking really helps too. With losing the pounds and clearing your head. I get some great ideas from God for my work when I am walking. I try to follow God on what I write too. He gives me pretty sweet ideas that I cannot wait to share with the rest of the world! :o)

Anyhow, found your blog from Step In The City. I am a writer as well, I like this blog already after just reading one post and the about me, so I will be following! Yay! A new blogger buddy! Take care and good luck...with everything!
